Making a rainbow with universal indicator

Today in science we were trying to make all the colours of the rainbow using universal indicator and an acid and base. We used Hydrochloric acid and Sodium Hydroxide to make the different colours

Tomorrow, When the war began. Chapter two


  1. How did the group of teenagers ascend Tailors Stitch? In a land rover 
  2. What are the two special events happening the day after the teenagers leave for the bush? Common day and Kevin's concert
  3. How many days were they planning on staying? 5. How much food do you think is reasonable to bring, split between 7 teenagers? Dinners, Breakfast and lunch
  4. Who is the Hermit and what is he supposed to have done? He is a man that lived in the bush and he supposedly killed his wife and child
  5. Do you think the Hermit will be significant to this story? yes Why/Why not? I think he will be important because he might actually exist and he might try to kill the kids going on a camping trip or possibly save them 
  6. Are their decent down Satan’s Steps into Hell dangerous? Yes. Discuss what are the dangers, how could they have made it safer, what would you have done? Some of the dangers are falling down and dying breaking a leg and not being able to get back up or they could get stuck. They could make it safer by just not going 
  7. Predict what the bridge signifies. That someone has been there

  1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of first-person narration? Only Being able to hear from one person's view, you can understand what they're saying more
  2. Why do you think Ellie needs to tell the story in chronological order? So we can understand it better.
  3. Pick one interesting word from the chapter, find its meaning, and explain why it is interesting. Chronological. Following the order in which they occurred
  4. John Marsden foreshadows several events and characters in this chapter. Make three predictions based on the evidence in the text about what may occur later in the story.
  5. What kind of story do you think Ellie is going to tell? Uses evidence from the text to support your answers. How their camping trip went bad and they ended staying there for longer than they wanted to.
