The book is about a sunken forest, a kid called Mat was walking to school when an old laddie asked him if he could take her her bin in then he did and she offered him a jam bun or money he took the food not money. He kept walking to school he got there and he got accused of stealing by the school, and more stuff happened then the cops came and he got tolled of for stealing but he didn't do it and he kept saying that but they dint believe him because his dad went to jail for stealing and he went to camp with older people. Later in the story a dam built up and it broke and he was in the water and you'll have to read the book to find out what happens.
