Research on Sine Rule

Today in math class we were doing research on the sine rule, below is what I found from my research 

The Law of sines defines the ratio of sides of a triangle and their respective sine angles are

equivalent to each other. The other names of the law of sines are sine law, sine rule, and sine

formula. The law of sine is used to find the unknown angle or the side of an oblique triangle.

The oblique triangle is defined as any triangle, which is not a right triangle. The law of sine

should work with at least two angles and their respective side measurements at a time.

How to label a triangle

Capital letters are angles and the corresponding lower-case letters go with the side opposite the angle, side a is across from angle A, and so on. Below is an image of a labeled triangle

What are indices in maths? An index, or power, is the small floating number that appears after a number or letter. Indices show how many times a number or letter has been multiplied by itself. Maths. Number. Link to article

What are the rules around them? Indices are used to show numbers that have been multiplied by themselves. They can also be used to represent roots, such as the square root, and some fractions. The laws of indices enable expressions involving powers to be manipulated more efficiently than writing them out in full. Link to article

What happens to positive and negative numbers? If the first number is negative and the indices is an even number, the final product will always be a positive number. If the first number is negative and the indices is an odd number, the final product will always be a negative number. Link to article

PPE in engineering

What is PPE? Personal protective equipment

What are the basic requirements for PPE here at the HHS workshop? safety glasses, proper footwear 

What isn’t PPE? Normal clothes or uniforms not designed for the workshop, any extra accessories such as rings, bracelets, and ear piercing 

Who pays for your PPE? The school or if your working a job the company should supply it unless you are choosing to provide  your own

Explain the different types/range of basic PPE that is available in the workplace. Different types of hearing protection such as earmuffs and earplugs are used to protect your hearing. There are also overalls that you can wear, overalls can stop you from getting materials on your normal clothes. Safety glasses, welding helmets, 

What are examples of task-specific PPE? Welding, welding helmet, overalls, and gloves. Sanding, safety glasses, and a dust mask.
